What is the best eye creme for lifting, puffiness and wrinkles?

Wednesday, March 31st, 2010

I have moderate puffiness and wrinkles under my eyes and I would like my upper eyelid to be lifted a little. What do you find that works best?

Boy, was I hoping that you received a Real good answer to this question!…lol
I suffer from the same eye issues.
I have heard that, and I hope that I am saying this right…Super K creme works the best.
But also, on the holistic side…I have also heard that drinking Milk Thistle tea, can also help with this…because it helps with liver function…and I guess that the liver not functioning properly can make the puffiness occur.
Please keep me informed with whatever you find out…I’m almost ready to go and get fillers or whatever kind of injection they got…lol

Much Love,
Peace!

Do you apply concealer/under eye concealer before or after applying liquid foundation?

Wednesday, March 31st, 2010

I have Almay Clear Complexion.

You apply it under eye before applying the foundation.

if you have extreme dark circles under your eyes, then you can put a layer on top of the foundation but make sure you do it in a proper manner and not go overboard or else it might get cakey

hope i helped

how do i remove bags under my eyes?

Wednesday, March 31st, 2010

ive been using Nivea creme for the use of bags under eyes and doesnt seem to help much. any tips ne1?

Don’t use Nivea cream under your eyes. The skin is very thin and many end up creating bags by doing this, the cream ends up collecting as fat deposits under the eyes creating bags. Use a cream specifically for the eye area and use on the bone around the eye. Cucumber is cooling and toning and good for dark circles under the eyes and potato slices help reduce puffiness in tissues. Drink lots of water and get adequate sleep.

Hemorrhoid Cream for Eye Bags?

Tuesday, March 30th, 2010

If you have eye bags, you’ve probably heard about this old “remedy” that was endorsed by your own mom or grandmother. Go to the nearest drugstore and grab a tube of Preparation H. This hemorrhoid cream will supposedly get rid of puffy eyes fast.

No one knows who started this silly rumor but it is mentioned in model Diane Iron’s popular book “The World’s Best Kept Beauty Secrets.” Irons claims that many middle-aged celebrities use Preparation H to maintain their youthful looks. Supermodels reportedly swear by it, saying that this hemorrhoid cream gives them an instant lift when they are bothered by eye bags.

Apparently, the people who use Preparation H believe that if it can shrink hemorrhoids, it will also work for bulging eye bags. Promoters claim this is due to two ingredients: shark oil and a live yeast cell derivative called Bio-Dyne Skin Respiratory Factor. But the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) didn’t buy that story and ordered the manufacturer Whitehall-Robbins Inc. to reformulate the product.

At present, US versions of Preparation H no longer carry these ingredients but you’ll still find them in the Canadian and European versions. Instead, the American version has phenylephrine HCI 0.25 % – a vasoconstrictor that some dermatologists said will constrict capillaries and temporarily reduce dark circles and puffy eyes.

Dr. Debra Jaliman, a clinical instructor in dermatology at New York’s Mount Sinai School of Medicine said phenylephrine “tightens facial skin by temporarily constricting blood vessels and shrinking under-eye tissue – the same way it constricts and shrinks rectal blood vessels and tissue.” However, a Whitehall representative said Preparation H is not meant for the eyes and shouldn’t be applied there.

Since the skin around the eyes is thinner, it’s more sensitive and prone to adverse reactions that can occur from the ingredients found in Preparation H. There have been reports of irritation, burning, and itching among others.

“I would not recommend using Preparation H for puffy eyes. Every time I tried it, it burned and I had to rush to the sink and wash it off with cold water. The skin around the eye is very thin and sensitive, unlike the other area Preparation H is used for,” said one user in eHow.com.

“Instead of seeing miracles, all I saw was that my face was turning redder and redder and the pouches under my eyes were getting bigger instead of smaller! Finally, when my face started burning and itching all over, I washed off the darn stuff as fast as I could. For two days, my face was swollen and raw… hardly the results I had expected! Believe me, I was so disappointed by the failure of Preparation H to do what Irons claimed it would do that I vowed never again to use it. Not on my face and certainly not on any other part of my body!” said another disappointed user at MyDoctor2.com.

If you are tormented by eye bags, dark circles, swollen eyes or fine lines and wrinkles, don’t rely on hearsay or your next door neighbor for advice. One product worth looking into is Eyevive, the safe and natural way to reverse the signs of aging. Eyevive moisturizes and strengthens the skin around your eyes to help reduce eye bags, wrinkles, and other skin problems. For details, check out http://www.eyevive.com.

Preventing Dark Circles Under The Eyes

Tuesday, March 30th, 2010

Your eyes are often the first feature of your face that people notice, and thus it is important that they look their best. One of the biggest detractors to beautiful eyes is the appearance of circles and puffiness around the eye area. This chronic problem affects virtually everyone at some point in their life. Depending on the severity of this condition, it can be frustrating to resolve, even with the help of advanced skin care products.

The delicate skin around your eyes is extremely sensitive to the negative affects of stress and other outside factors. While the exact cause of dark circles around the eyes is not officially known, but there are several factors that have been linked to their occurrence…

- The lack of sleep, or in a few cases, too much sleep.
- Stressors or anxieties that result in poor health conditions.
- Unbalanced diet regimens that lead to nutrition deficiencies.
- The congestion relievers in cold and sinus medicines.
- Prescription medicine that treats clotting or dilates the blood vessels.
- The human aging process, which leads to a breakdown in collagen.
- Some research has also found genetic links to dark circles around the eyes.

Discovering which contributor is most likely responsible for the appearance of your dark circles can help with treatment. The simplest and most effective strategy for treating cosmetic eye conditions is to maintain a regular sleep pattern and focus on sustaining good skin care. Washing your face regularly and treating affected areas with moisturizer will allow the skin to promote its natural healing processes. Relaxing your eyes by taking short breaks from reading or writing, and upgrading your eyewear will also eliminate stressors that contribute to dark circles.

Unfortunately, for those who cannot commit to regular sleep patterns, or those who face immense pressure from their work or home life, the solution may not be easy. Over-the-counter eye treatments can help improve the situation, but their lack of potency often leads to temporary results. Home remedies, such as cold compresses and facial masks, are a great way to replicate spa-like treatments at home, but they too suffer from short-lived success.

Chronic sufferers of puffy eyes and dark circles may need a more advanced product to provide a long-term solution. Hydroderm Anti-Aging Eye Serum is a comprehensive solution specifically designed for treating this nagging condition. The time-release formula reduces swelling, and fortifies the areas around the eyes to diminish and prevent dark circles.

The combination of all-natural ingredients such as Vitamin E, and the vasodilator MgCl, help to repair the surface of the skin while improving circulation. Immediate results are often experienced within 3 days, and significant improvement tends to occur inside of 30 days. As always, consult your doctor before trying new skin care products.

Right now you can take advantage of a free trail offer for the Hydroderm Anti-Aging Eye Cream. You will receive a 2 month supply of the product and pay only $3.95 for shipping and handling. You can learn more about this free trial offer by visiting http://hydrodermatology.com

Laptop Bags: Technology With Style

Tuesday, March 30th, 2010

When you bought your laptop from the retailer or at the store, it most probably came with a typical nondescript black bag that’s all pockets and functionality – the same as everyone else’s. But just because it’s the bag that came with your laptop doesn’t mean you have to be stuck with it forever. Express yourself and show a little of your individuality with a new and more stylish laptop bag.

Beyond Basic Black

Even if you’re the kind of person who likes everything in a generic, unisex, all-occasion black color, you’ll have to admit that it gets somber and boring after a while. It’s a good thing that bag manufacturers both new and established have churned out a lot of stylish, modern laptop bags in the past few years. More and more people are opening their eyes and their color palettes to the countless possibilities that are out there.

You might be apprehensive about getting laptop bags with bright colors or eye-catching designs because you’re afraid that people at the office won’t appreciate it. But styled laptop bags have evolved from a mere fad into a new norm, and everyone from the new secretary to the CEO probably has at least one. It’s now something you’ll see in just about any and every office you visit.

It’s not just the ladies who are in on the trend, either. There’s now a very wide selection of laptop bags in masculine designs that has men reaching out to grab more fashionable bags too. Male or female, young or old, there’s something out there for everyone.

Laptop Bag Essentials

Going down to brass tacks, just about anything can become your next laptop bag. Whether it’s a rugged-looking daypack from the sports store or a dainty designer tote, a bag can safely carry your laptop as long as it has a few basic features.

Padding is the first thing you should consider when looking for a new laptop bag. Your precious laptop needs protection from the bumps and bruises of your daily commute, and a layer of foam or padding should cushion it against impact. Unless the bag you want has at least some padding, it won’t be any good as a bag to carry your laptop.

The material is also another important factor you should think about. The bag has to be made from a tough, durable material. Although it’s not really necessary, a fabric or material that’s waterproof is always a plus because it’ll do a better job at keeping your laptop away from water, which can severely damage your laptop unit.

Last but definitely not the least is weight. This is especially important if you’re a student or a mobile professional who has to constantly bring a laptop around everywhere. The typical laptop can weigh as much as 3 kg, on top of all the accessories and peripherals you’ll be bringing. Why get a hefty bag that will only add to that weight? Look for strong yet lightweight materials like polyester blends.

The good laptop bags are something you will have to find and spend for. Go for quality instead of just low prices. Remember, it’s the only thing that stands between your laptop and all the damaging elements of the outside world.

What is the best under eye concealer?

Sunday, March 28th, 2010

I am not sure what type or brand is best? I need to cover up dark sometimes puffy under eye circles & just about everything I try doesn’t do much or seems to not stay in place? What do you use? Any good suggestions? I am using the Garnier roller ball but it doesn’t help much, I need a good long lasting concealer. Thanks.

A great concealer is called Good Riddance and is only $6! It’s in a pencil form and it so terrific. I have one in my purse, make-up bag, and car.
