What is the best wrinkle cream for eye wrinkles?

Friday, November 27th, 2009

Do I have to use an eye cream or can I use any wrinkle cream/

Believe it or not, the best wrinkle cream you can use is the one you make yourself. Most store products don’t contain enough of the active ingredients to make a huge difference.
I got some great recipes from the source below and found out where to save tons of money by getting ingredients real cheap. It takes like 5 minutes to make a great wrinkle cream.
Now, my skin is the best it has ever looked, seriously!

Natural remedy to reduce eye puffiness?

Friday, November 27th, 2009

I have puffiness under my eyes and what to use something cost effective and natural (herb, veggie or fruit) to reduce it. Or even a homemade gadget; cold spoon. What really works?

Ah yes, the dilemma of the centuries, puffy eyes. For every bride I prepare, I get the puffy eyes question =P.

Puffy eyes, are usually caused by fluid retention. Which can be because of high sodium intake, allergies, sinuses, or before your menstrual cycle (chances are if your stomach naturally bloats before and during your period, your eyes will be too).

There are so many things you can do to help you puffy eyes. You MUST drink lots of water, as it makes you pee and washes out toxins from your system reducing puffiness. It is important to avoid processed food and fast food, healthier food not only gives you radiant skin, but it reduces puffy eyes. Some foods that help water retention as in decrease it are raisins, bananas, and anything else with potassium.

—————————————————————-

After your done with the healthy bit, there are also some tricks you can use to reduce your bags for instant glam, and an awakened look.

-First and foremost remember, the eye area is very gentle, and the skin there is delcate and thin.

-Every morning, as soon as you wake, splash a tone of cold water in your face.

-Always keep a -metal- spoon in the freezer and gently place it on your eye bags every morning before makeup application.

-Cucumbers. Yes, they work, they naturally reduce puffiness and give you a glow, but it’s not something you should do everyday.

-Tea bags. Green tea, red tea, any tea. All tea’s contain substances reducing puffyness, after making your tea, save your tea bags and place them in the fridge. Once cold, place them on your eyes (like you would with cucumbers) for 5-10 mins.

-Apply cooling masks to the corner of your eyes, be VERY careful not to get any in your eyes, and not to be too close to the eye itself.

-Steams. Face steaming forces your face to sweat, and is a temporary fix for under eye bags.

-Massage. Massage your face every night before sleeping and every morning, in circular motions going downwards. This pushes the fluids in your glands down and away from your eyes.

-Any eye creams with rosemarry and mint ingrediants reduce puffiness. Apply the eye cream after washing your face with cold water.

-Never apply face moisturizers under the eye, this seeps into the skin and causes puffiness.

-Two words. Face Yoga.

-Put your concealer in the fridge over night, then when applying it will reduce puffiness as it conceals.

Good luck!

can I use revlon colorstay under eye concealer to cover blemishes on my face or is it only for the under eye?

Friday, November 27th, 2009

Thank you in advance. I accidentally bought it and I don’t need it for my under eye. I just need it to cover my blemishes, pimples, etc. and I hope it would be okay if i use it on other parts of my face.

Sure you can. If the color matches your skin tone go right ahead. Make up companies try to make money by marketing all purpose things for specific purposes. You can do anything you want!!!

Most effective under-eye cream against wrinkles and fine lines?

Friday, November 27th, 2009

Ugh. Aging. I’m finding that I always look tired when I’m not, due to fine lines under my eyes. Has anyone used an under eye cream that was effective in "brightening" eyes and minimizing these lines, something that really had visible effects?

Thanks in advance…

I worked as a makeup artist for years and I have tried them all. Some are good, but NOTHING compares to putting a little olive oil under your eyes each night before bed. It works wonders, and is probably the cheapest remedy. Just be careful not to get it in your eyes. Olive oil is a miracle, it is also GREAT for hair! A little goes a long way!!

How to prevent red eyes/bags under eyes?

Friday, November 27th, 2009

I often get red bags under my eyes and was wondering, is there any way to stop this. Not get them to go away, but to stop them appearing in the first place.

Always sleep 7-9 hours every night. If you have trouble falling asleep or sleeping, make a routine that you do every single night. For example, I brush my teeth, then read a few chapters in a book. Then I wash my face and brush my hair, put on pajamas, and climb into bed. I’ll listen to relaxing music (classical is actually really good for this, Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven is great for unwinding) for ten or fifteen minutes and fall asleep doing that.
If you really want them to go away fast, put a few ice cubes in a ziploc baggie, and rub this gently under your eyes. It will decrease the blood flow to your under-eye area, which is where the darkness and redness comes from. Good luck!
